We deliver palliative care education, support and service improvement to community and care home staff across Kirklees and Calderdale.
Palliative Care is end of life care for patients whose advanced progressive illness is not responsive to curative treatment.

Our team support clinical and care home staff to care for patients with cancer, dementia and other long term or chronic conditions enabling them to live well until they die.

Locala's specialist team of nurses work together to advise and support care delivered by other health and social care professionals in the patient's home or care home.
We work closely with local hospices and other caring agencies that deliver treatments which may involve managing symptoms, relaxation techniques, managing fatigue or providing equipment.

Our team provides support and encourages open discussion and planning between clinical/care home staff and patients, their families and carers during this period. At what can be a difficult time, our goal is to achieve the best quality of life possible for patients and their families.

This page will be monitored between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Any queries or comments will be answered within this time frame.
