Laura, having grown up in the Pytchley Country, has been working in Point to Point and National hunt racing for 17 years. On leaving school at 16 she went straight to work for Caroline Bailey, following that she had a brief spell of riding a school master in a few point to points but has always been more interested in the training side of things.

Laura aquired a lot of what she knows now from being head girl for Point to Point trainer Bill Warner where under his tutorship she learnt about injuries and the attention to detail required of a trainer. After a spell with Pauline Harkin and then Heather Kemp she ended up buying her own pointer to train, Katnapping, who won her maiden first time out.

Laura is incredibly passionate about horses, their welfare and how to get the best out of them. They are treated as individuals with a focus on being happy and enjoying the variety of work they do with the fantastic facilities available at Highfield Stables.
