Lingo Kids is a new business venture offering children from as young as one the chance to learn a foreign language. Children learn through fun sessions, usually 40 minutes in length, and these typically involve singing, music and instruments, stories and games. The idea is to gently introduce them to a second language at an age when they are more likely to absorb and retain it. Young children also have fewer inhibitions and are more willing to try to speak new words, therefore they will develop more authentic accents.
For older children of school age, classes are run slightly differently and are an hour long. These follow the Primary Foreign Languages curriculum at Key Stage 2, which will become compulsory from this September.
All classes have a maximum of six children so that I can give all an appropriate level of attention.
The cost of these classes are £4.50 per child regardless of age, and fees are payable for a half term in advance. The first session is free and if you refer a friend you will also be given a free session.
The first classes begin this week, 3rd March!
