Lilac Nurseries

Lilac Nurseries is a family run business founded by my Father, Stanley Dixon, in 1965 near Fakenham. This was set up to sell bedding plants, shrubs and bulbs in season at the local markets.

From 1969 to 1973 Stan also did horticultural shows including Royal Norfolk, Chelsea, the Westminster shows and as far afield as Southport in Lancashire.

In 1975, Stan's eldest son, Cecil, began to help on a part time basis and on a more permanent basis in 1981. In 1988 a partnership was formed between father and son, continuing through to 2011 when Stan semi-retired.
