Light Night Leeds

Light Night Leeds started in 2005 and is an annual multi-art form festival which takes place in October at numerous venues across Leeds city centre. It’s a celebratory night for the huge range of diverse and thriving creative activity taking place in Leeds all year round, and gives both city dwellers and visitors free access to art and venues that they might not normally see. This year Light Night celebrates its 10th festival, and we aim to host approximately 40 outdoor and indoor free activities open to the public, with the core programme happening between 5pm – 10pm on Friday 3rd October.

Light Night is an ideal opportunity to change the dynamics or perceptions of a town or city centre at night. The festival motivates people to “come to town” by offering different events, exhibitions and shows from a variety of artists and performers that will appeal to a wide range of ages and interests.
