Lifeboat Trips Tenby

Our seasonal trips run from EASTER until OCTOBER.
The fun daily trips ( WEATHER PERMITTING ) run every half an hour from 09.45am. We have inside and outside seating and all ages are welcome. Lifejackets are available for anyone of any age.

The Lifeboat Trip
There are 5 Life boat stations in Tenby, which have been used at some point in history and through to the present day (indicated in the above photo). An informative commentary is provided on every trip.
This is a perfect way to spend a small part of your day on an actual lifeboat around the picturesque Tenby harbour.

History of the Lifeboat
RNLB Mary Gabriel was stationed in Hoylake, Liverpool. From 1974 to 1992 it was launched 99 times saving 44 lives.
From 1992 to 1995 it was stationed in Rhyl launching 6 times.
Since 2001 the was maintained by a syndicate at the Chatham Maritime Museum.
In 2016 Rob purchased the Mary Gabriel from the syndicate and brought her back to Tenby; keen to preserve her future and let people come aboard and enjoy this historic wooden built lifeboat.

Skipper/Owner
Rob, born and raised in Tenby harbour and has worked on boats all his life, having owned a few private boats he thought it was about time to share his passion and knowledge with public.
He has also been a member of the Tenby lifeboat crew since 1994.
