Originally starting at the beginning of the 20th century by our great grandfather Pietro Anthony who set up a small factory in Poulton square Morecambe, the family tradition was continued by our grandfather John Anthony and latterly by our father Bruno Lewis, under who’s direction the business expanded rapidly. Lewis’s Ice Cream soon became the by-word for quality, and our fame spread throughout the North West of England and beyond.
Now , using Lewis’s famous original recipe created by their grandfather, John and David Lewis have set up a new factory in the Lake District to once again produce what they think is the best ice cream available. Alongside close family friend Richard Bates, they have expanded the original range to encompass both traditional and new exciting, and exotic flavours.
Using only the best quality Italian flavours along with double cream, milk and luxury butter, our dairy ice cream is expertly blended with years of knowledge and tradition.
