Lara's Cafe at the Yard

I’ve lived in Cheltenham since 2001 after moving from London with two children. Before having a family I had a year in Sydney Australia working in Zigolini’s one of Sydney’s more prestigious café’s in the leafy antique quarter of Woollahra , they did cakes and coffee so well and this is mostly where I got my inspiration for good quality coffee bar cakes.

After returning from Australia I went back to my previous life in motor sport hospitality which took me to many countries around the world and I experienced lots of cultures and local food, all adding to my love of trying new flavours and basically ..cakes !

I settled down to go into partnership and take over a café in Leadenhall Market London with some family friends which was a great success until we sold up and both started families .

As the kids have grown my entrepreneurial buds kicked back in and so I have started this market stall in Leckhampton on a Saturday selling a few of my wares of tasty homemade gluten and non gluten free cakes. Come down and try for your self.
