Kelpy Pearls & Silk

Kelpy is a small, home run business. Our website was created due to comments I received from customers at craft fairs and shows that I have been involved with. Customers often desired to purchase matching items in order to complete a set at a later date, without having to follow me to the various shows I attend.

I started designing and making my own jewellery in 2001. I enjoyed it so much that about four years later, I realised (my husband told me!) I had so much that I would never wear even a tenth of it! And so, craft fairs have been my major outlet since.

The silk part of the business is organised by my long term friend Karen Kelly. We hope to be able to include some of these items, including cushion covers, handbags, table runners, chopstick covers, flowers etc. on the website soon. Karen is passionate about oriental silks due to living in Hong Kong for a number of years. As her family are still there, it means we can combine shopping with visiting – a winning combination!
