Kartechnic was founded in 2006 by Andy Slater & Kevin Orchard between us we have worked in service departments for prestige vehicle manufactures including Mercedes VAG and BMW for over 30 years.

Our founding and lasting ethos is to provide our customers with a true alternative to Main Dealer service & repair.

We believe that fair pricing coupled with personal service and technical competence are paramount, and pride ourselves in having knowledge of BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche that is unparalleled in the Independent garage sector anywhere in Dorset or Hampshire.

The growth of Kartechnic since its inception has required expansion of the work force to cope with demand. Our current team have been carefully trained and chosen because of their shared commitment to our customers & their vehicles.
Our in house and nationally certificated training programme has so far produced three highly skilled technicians all of whom qualified with class leading results, one having received straight distinctions and in doing so becoming only the second student in the area to have achieved such in over ten years.
The technical team and customer reception is overseen by Service Manager Jon Wardle who has a wealth of Prestige dealer experience having worked as Senior Technician and Service Advisor for Wood BMW and latterly as Service Manager for Westerly BMW.
The team is supported by Andy & Kevin’s wives Tanya & Jo who fill the roles of Service Receptionist & Company Accountant respectively, maintaining the personal family feel of the business.

Kartechnic is part of the Bosch car service network (Bosch is one of the world’s largest motor vehicle component manufactures with products ranging from ABS braking and Engine Management systems to wiper blades). As part of the Bosch Car Service program Kartechnic has to undergo yearly independent auditing of its working practices, based on the results of these audits Kartechnic has been awarded with Bosch’s Quality Audit certificate an accolade reserved for garages within the Bosch car service network who achieve the highest audit results. In addition to this Bosch Car Service is first network of vehicle repairers in the UK to be awarded Office of Fair Trading approval in recognition of its high standards.
