Kaizen Academy

Our coaches are not your typical cage fighters. In fact, all our coaches are graduates with degrees in everything from computer science to Philosophy. They have applied their skills to martial arts,and are all professional cage fighters, kickboxers and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors with black belts in taekwondo, ninjitsu, kickboxing and wing chun kung fu among others as well as national British titles in MMA and Taekwondo. Together we have designed a syllabus to take you from beginner to world class level as quickly as possible. It is based on our 30+ cumulative years of studying martial arts and the best fighters in the world and synthesizing this research into an organized, structured syllabus taught academically based on principles rather than techniques. As part of a cutting edge approach backed up by scientific studies as well as our own empirical research, the syllabus will be taught academically based on the overarching principles which guide martial arts strategy and specific techniques will be taught as examples or expressions of these principles. We’ve also sought to create a training space, aesthetic and atmosphere which matched and represented our innovative approach to the teaching of the martial arts. As a result, we’ve implemented a minimalist modern theme which we feel matches and represents our approach to martial arts – creating a clean, safe and friendly environment to train in.
