A FEW WORDS FROM THE AGENT

“I set up K Properties in December 2007 having worked for local letting agents in Suffolk for a couple of years. Before this, I was an A Level Maths teacher for over 20 years, both in Manchester and Suffolk. I manage every aspect of the business myself and pride myself on knowing all the Landlords and Tenants in depth. The business is supported by qualified and professional inventory clerks and referencing agencies. I view and take on all the properties so I feel I can probably answer any questions you may have about them. If I don't know the answer, I will say so and find out for you! If I wouldn't live in a property myself, I don’t take it on – a quality property is more important to me than simply adding to my list.

Most of my business is gained by “word of mouth” – Landlords, Tenants and Contractors kindly pass my name on so I rarely advertise.

My Landlords are a mixture of multiple landlords and individuals- I manage residential properties for Notcutts whose headquarters are in Woodbridge, Suffolk amongst others.

I decided that I would enter into the lettings business properly – by that, I mean that I am licensed by both ARLA and NALS so that all my clients can feel reassured that the proper standards of business are maintained and that there is legal redress in the unlikely event of a problem.

Whilst the business is based in my home, I have found that being a “virtual” agent has not been a handicap and that quality Tenants and Landlords seek me out. I also maintain a register of potential applicants and a percentage of my properties are let before they are advertised.
