I have been working in the leisure industry for 4 years, and during this time I have gained a wealth of experience from lifeguarding to becoming a gym instructor and qualified personal trainer and faced a range of challenges along the way. Health and Fitness plays a huge role in my life and has not only helped me with my physical wellbeing but has also given me great drive and determination that I have been able to apply in other aspects of my life.
At a young age I was never a fan of PE Lessons and taking part in Sport until I reached my teens and took up Rowing at The Windsor Boys School where I also became part of the schools Cross Country running team and Sports Captain for my house in my final year. I have achieved as both a Lead Rowing Coach and an athlete, coaching numerous crews to National level, winning numerous National Championship and National Schools Medals in Junior Rowing across a range of events. Athletes I have coached have gone on to represent Great Britain at Junior Level and raced in the Oxford Blue Boat in the 2016 Boat Race. I am also privileged to have worked and gained experience from a number of highly experienced coaches and ex-Olympians who represented Great Britain as Rowers.
During my studies for my degree in BSc Sports Science & Coaching Studies I gained a significant amount of weight through poor lifestyle choices. After graduating I made the conscious decision to make small but significant lifestyle changes which lead to me shedding 15kgs of body weight using the knowledge obtained from my degree and experience of tailoring training programmes for the athletes I had previously coached. I have since completed two half marathons, a variety of 10km fun runs, a Tough Mudder and a Sprint Triathlon as well as successfully rehabilitating a Shoulder AC Dislocation.
I now see as it as my role to provide you with the necessary tools to achieve goals, helping you set them and lay the stepping stones which will lead you toward achieving them. Selecting the appropriate training methods for you that are not only fun and enjoyable but will push you harder than ever before in order to reach your goals. Working side by side with small lifestyle changes which are not only realistic but also sustainable.
I have wrote progressive training programmes for a diverse range of clientele with all sorts of different goals, I have learnt that the key to success is to focus on you as the client and your goals and interests as not everything works for everyone. My satisfaction comes from seeing you achieve your goals and doings things you previously thought your body was not capable of. Whatever your goal, I am willing and able to help you achieve it!
