Jacalou Junction

Jacalou Junction is the work and dream of artist Lou Gilmore-George......that's me! The name, Jacalou Junction is an amalgamation of my children's names; Jack and Arlo and of course, my own. I would love to take credit for the name but that was the work of my partner.

Jacalou Junction is a family run business.

I am an artist, specialising in Jewellery and textiles, although I also dabble with sculpture and ceramics. Metal is my passion and I'm a keen upcycler.

This passion is what I hope to take through into the cafe.

I'm originally from Devon but moved up to Yorkshire in 2002. I trained at CCAD in Hartlepool as an applied artist before going on to train as a teacher in Art and English. I recently also gained a Post graduate certificate in fine art.

My other passion is coffee and cake....which is where the cafe part comes in.

Available for local and national events from car rallies to festivals. We are also available for weddings and birthday parties.
