Isabel Lao: Piano Lessons Edinburgh

Passionate and dedicated Piano and Music Theory tutor with 12 years experience offers lessons for all ages and levels. I am very versatile and able to adapt to each student's needs, interests and skills from beginners to an advanced level.

I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old and since then, music has been the centre of my life. I love teaching music, for me it is the perfect tool to be in contact with people and to be able to help and encourage people to find fulfillment .

Apart from a Piano Performance and Music Theory Bachelor's Degree, I have a Music Therapy Masters Degree and thanks to that I have built a flexible, personal teaching methology always in contact with the latest educational practices (Dalcroze, Willems, Kodaly, Orff etc...) as well as with the most recent psychological studies.

During my 12 years of experience I have worked as a teacher in several music schools and also as a private teacher with kids from 3 years old to 80 year-old adults. I have also taught people of all ages with special needs and groups of people with dementia.
