IoD City of London Branch

Our branch has a dynamic and varied group of over 1000 members who create a valuable supportive business community in the heart of the world’s foremost financial centre. Members and guests have a deep and extensive network to engage with as they seek to drive forward their organisations. The branch covers the City of London and Canary Wharf.

IoD City of London has four Special Interest Groups: China, Property, Financial Services and Young Executives.

With a focus upon providing a range of events and opportunities to meet people in different sectors we have an extensive network of partner organisations e.g. The Law Society, The London Society of Accountants UKTI, CIPS and The City UK. Given our interest in international commerce the branch has connections with various embassies.

IoD City of London was founded in 1981 by Sir Kenneth Cork (Lord Mayor of London 1978). IoD City's other Past Chairmen: Sir Roger Cork (Lord Mayor 1996), Sir Peter Gadsden (Lord Mayor 1979), Jack Neary (Sheriff 1985), Sir David Brewer (Lord Mayor 2005) & Sir David Wootton (Lord Mayor 2011).
