Welcome to I'm a VIP. My name is Jemma and I am a experienced barber & also a mum of 4 children. I'm a VIP was set up to help with the trails & tribulations of a trip to the hairdressers. At Autism friendly Sundays our doors are closed to the public & open for 1 hour VIP appointments. Children can be free to play & explore whilst I cut their hair one snip at a time. Gone are the days you need to queue only to have your child melt into the floor and break their heart. Through Association, trust and play I have managed lots of happy haircuts with so much less distress to the children & parents.
Appointments can be booked hourly & during this time you & your child can settle in whilst I gain trust and an understanding, most children leave happy with a haircut however once you have purchased a VIP pass for £10 this will allow you to come as many times needed until they are comfortable with the surroundings. The bright lights are dimmed, the mirrors can be covered, the hair dryers are unplugged & I will try my best to take that stress away of a trip to the hairdressers one snip at a time x
