There are a choice of beaches nearby notably Spittal and Coldingham and of course the glories of the Heritage Northumbrian Coastline are also within very easy driving distance - Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and beach and the bustling seaside village of Seahouses. Only 1 hour’s drive from Edinburgh for an alternative day trip the cottage is in an ideal location for fishing, cycling, golf and the historical sites for which the Borders are famous for.
