Hushabye Handmade

I’ve been asked a few times how I got into sewing. Home Economics was never my favourite subject at school, and my Mum even sewed my Brownie badges onto my uniform for me! I’m not sure why, over 20 years later, I decided I wanted to do a sewing course but I really enjoyed it and bought myself a sewing machine the next day!

My tutor suggested that I go off and make something for my little boy so I decided to make him a dribble bib. He looked so cute so I made him some more, then some of my Mummy friends started asking about them and suggested that I set up a Facebook page, so Hushabye Handmade was born! My confidence grew and I’ve now made some other baby/children’s goods and sling accessories and I’m really enjoying it.
