Hunter Art Grinton

John as well as running the East Mill House with Jane, also runs his art studio from the premises. John is a professional artist being a full member of the Guild of Aviation Artists (one of only 60); working mainly in pencil and watercolour.

His prints have travelled world-wide from sales at the International Air Tattoos (Fairford and Cottesmore) and since 2002 he has exhibited his aviation work annually at the Mall Galleries, London (GAvA Aviation Paintings of the Year) and subsequently at both the Coventry and Edinburgh Air Museums and RAF Cosford.
Commissions have included the 90th anniversary painting for RAF Wittering (the special presentation including meal and fly past), RAF Pollington memorial gardens and private commissions reflecting the Falklands conflict, Bomber Command, ATC Church Fenton, The Cold War, Handley Page and the Grace Spitfire as well as many commemorative images.

John works in many different media and produces highly detailed work in numerous genres; military/transport in particular aviation, music, portraits, film montages, landscapes, and he has recently illustrated a book featuring the reminisces of a lightning pilot and produced the annotated maps for the Swaledale TDF Souvenir Brochure.
