ABOUT ME
Qualifying in Holistic Massage back in 1996, personally trained by world renowned massage guru and leading author Nitya Lacoix.

Qualifying in 1995 as a Beauty Therapist I soon trained in Aromatherapy, LaStone Massage and gained my Reiki I & II attunement to follow my path in natural holistic massage therapy.

I have worked in many spas and health clubs in the UK and Europe, as well as the famous Spa at The Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park, London.

Since 2004 I have been practicing holistic massage and facials to private clients in the comfort of their own home. I successfully built up a large private client base within and around the London area, comprising high net worth and celebrity clients. My client base were wealthy professionals and celebrities. I moved to the east coast in 2009 to pursue a more relaxed way of life and I am now delighted to be offering my services in the area .

I pride myself on attention to detail and incorporate all of my knowledge into a tailor made massage to suit the individual I am treating.

PHILOSOPHY
Massage is an important element of life which promotes peace and well-being whilst giving mindfulness in today's frantic world. Many people are on autopilot and live with stress and anxiety every day.

Taking time out for meditation, relaxation & exercise is a fundamental part of health and longevity. Our minds are forever dwelling on the past or racing into the future. It is a rare occurrence for the body and mind to relax and be totally in the present. Attuning to the present moment is being in a state of mindfulness. When we are mindful of the present moment we are able to feel refreshed and have mental clarity. Attuning to our mind and body is a practice to develop through common daily acts such as walking, eating and breathing. Holistic massage therapy and bodywork are excellent ways to encourage mindfulness. Therapeutic touch facilitates being present in the here and now.

I only use organic vegan products that have been approved by the Vegan Society and Cruelty Free International to ensure no animal testing has been conducted.

HOLISTIC MASSAGE
Holistic massage aids physical and mental relaxation and promotes well-being by stroking, kneading or pressing the soft tissues of the body. Massage has been used for centuries to relieve pain and anxiety, stimulate circulation and tone body systems.

Massage induces relaxation and a sense of well-being by stimulating nerve endings in the skin. They in turn trigger the release of endorphin's, the body's natural opiates or ‘feel good' chemicals and inhibiting stress hormones. It also aids the circulation to supply more oxygen and nutrients to tissues and improve skin tone, and stimulates the lymphatic system, which carries away waste products that can cause pain and stiffness in muscles and joints.

I use a variety of techniques to relax muscles, increase oxygen in the blood and release toxins from muscles, which help shorten recovery time after muscle strain. There is considerable body of evidence that shows the benefits of regular massage in the relief of stress and associated symptoms such as anxiety, depression, headaches and insomnia.

Holistic Massage incorporating Aromatherapy oils which helps aid benefits together with deep tissue manipulation and relaxation massage techniques. If you are allergic to any of the below ingredients then I use a basic carrier oil. I use Absolute Aromas pre blended oils who are members of the Aromatherapy Trade Council, Soil Association, and Vegan Society.

Relaxation blend by Absolute Aromas
Relaxation is a powerful fusion of pure essential oils and rich carrier oils designed to relax and comfort the mind, body and soul. This blend is excellent if you are feeling tense or anxious, or finding it difficult to relax or sleep due to overactive thoughts. This blend relaxes the mind and elevates moods.
Essential Oils
Tangerine, Bergamot, Eucalyptus Radiata, Lavender, Petitgrain, Vetiver, Clary, Ylang Ylang, Lime, May Chang, Patchouli, Cardomon, Cedar, Clove, Chamomile Maroc, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
Carrier Oils
Sweet Almond, Evening Primrose, Jojoba.

De-Stress blend by Absolute Aromas
De-stress blend is a powerful fusion of pure essential oils and rich carrier oils designed to offer respite form daily tensions and jangled nerves. A powerful infusion of pure essential oils and rich carrier oils expertly blended to tantalise the senses and leave the skin soft and silky.
Essential Oils
Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Lemon, Orange, Frankincense, Lavender, Cedarwood, Clove, Chamomile, Rosa Centifolia, Sandalwood, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
Carrier Oils
Sweet Almond, Evening Primrose, Jojoba.

BENEFITS OF AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy is an holistic therapy that treats the mind, body and spirit. When essential oils are applied to the body during a massage, the essential oils enter the skin through the hair follicles where they are absorbed in to the blood stream and circulated around the body.
Aromatherapy has many benefits to the person being treated and can:

Enhance mood and general feeling of well-being through massage and the use of essential oils.
Improve blood and lymphatic circulation through massage and the use of essential oils. Depending upon the essential oils used the blood vessels will either constrict or dilate thereby raising or lowering blood pressure.
Balance the hormone production by the endocrine system. Essential oils such as clary sage can mimic oestrogen.
Strengthen the immune system by helping to kill viruses, bacteria and fungal infections.
Reduce pain.
Encourage restful sleep.
Improve digestion.
