Holgate Windmill was built in 1770 and worked until 1933. It has recently been restored by the Holgate Windmill Preservation Society and now produces stoneground flour once again. It is open throughout the year, please see our leaflet or website for details, for you to see the sails turning and see how flour is produced.
Also see our website for details of special events and exhibitions.
We are open by arrangement for school parties, and group tours.
Please note we have steep ladders and steps which are not accessible for pushchairs and those with restricted mobility.
