Hindon Village Stores is a delightful little shop, nestled in the Wiltshire countryside. The tranquil village of Hindon is situated 2 miles from the A303, the main route between London and South-West England, and near to the ancient monument of Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and the Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury.
We are a community owned and run shop, managed by Sam and staffed by an amazing team of volunteers who give up 2 hours of their valuable time each week to help the shop run smoothly.
Kelvin Watts (our Post Master) is a familiar face in the village as he has worked in our village shop for over 30 years!
Please pay us a visit, you are guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome and an amazing array of goodies to delight.
We sell a wide range of local produce including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and bread, plus newspapers - not forgetting household essentials. We also bake our own croissants, pastries and baguettes daily.
Hindon Village Stores opened on 7 September 2009, one year from the launch of a ‘Save our Shop’ campaign. The residents of Hindon bought the premises collectively, refurbished and fitted out the new shop with the help of local contractors and volunteers. The shop continues to grow and attract new customers each day.
