What the law says

In October 2003 European Union Legislation affecting the motor trade came into force.
It’s full title is “BLOCK EXEMPTION REGULATIONS 1400/2002 (in short “BER”)
This legislation changes the way cars may be serviced and repaired and gives you the motorist the more freedom in your decision as to who should look after your car.
Before BER it was difficult to have cars which were still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty serviced anywhere except at a franchised dealer.
Now you the motorists can use the garage of your choice to have your car serviced using parts of appropriate quality without invalidating the manufacturer’s warranty.


Although we predominantly supply and fit parts from top branded manufacturer’s we can also supply more competitive priced parts that are still coved by a twelve month warranty.
