Driven by the views and experiences of both patients and the public, Healthwatch North Yorkshire (HWNY) stands as both the independent voice on health and social care and as a key information point for service users across the county. We are a volunteer-led organisation, and perform 3 main functions:
* Acting as an information and signposting point for members of the public who need support with queries about, or issues with, health and social care services.
* Logging and monitoring the feedback received from the public, and information received from providers and regulators, about health and social care services.
* Using the above intelligence as a means to run research projects, campaigns and observational “Enter & View” visits of service premises (which they publicly report on) across the county.
