My career as a nail technician started nearly 8 years ago when i completed my acrylic beginners course and since then i have strived to get myself the best education, learn the latest techniques and update my skills on a regular basis to ensure i can provide my clients with the best service possible.
One of the major things I've learnt over the years is not to under estimate the power of education, it is been an invaluable tool that has helped me grow skills and confidence. One thing i love about this industry is there is always something new and exciting to learn.
Another great tool that has helped me so much is competing. I first started entering when i was encouraged by a great friend of mine Sian marshall to compete in the UK national comps in 2009 where i won the fancy french category, i was so shocked and overwhelmed. Competing is a fantastic way of learning as you will get feedback from the judges on what areas you need to work on, although it takes a lot of practice, hard work and dedication it defiantly pays off in the end. Since winning my very first trohey in 2009, i now have over 22 national and international awards from competing.
My proudest moments to date are winning the International Nail Art Championships in 2011 and more recently i won UK Top tech at the Nailympics in 2012 and then again in 2013 !
I now have my own independent training school where i have personally developed a wide range of courses to suit everyone from beginners right through to advanced courses, so there is something to suit everyone.
