Haymarket bus station, Leicester

Haymarket bus station is a bus station serving the city of Leicester. Opened in 1994, it lies next to and serves as a transport hub for Haymarket Shopping Centre.HistoryConstruction on the original Haymarket bus station commenced in 1994, coinciding with a major refurbishment of the adjacent Haymarket Shopping Centre complex. In January 2015 the bus station closed to allow contractors to start work on building a new bus station, this meant that buses using the bus station were relocated to stops elsewhere in the city centre. It reopened on 8 May 2016 with the previous 12 stands expanded to 23.FacilitiesThe bus station is located next to the Haymarket Shopping Centre and includes public toilets. All stops have seating. It is used by Arriva Midlands, Centrebus, First Leicester and Stagecoach in Warwickshire.
