Happy Home Childminding

I am a childminder graded Outstanding by Ofsted in my last inspection in June 2012. I live in the Lee Chapel South are of Basildon, and have been a childminder and registered with Osted since 1999.

I have 4 children of my own aged 9 - 20 and offer a real home from home childcare setting, with a huge amount of toys, resources, arts and crafts, and other activities for all ages from birth to teenagers.

I work term time only, so there are no fees at all payable during school holidays, ideal if you work term time only or if your child spends part of the school holidays with grandparents etc. I live next door to Lee Chapel Primary school so am ideally placed for school drop offs and pick ups.

My fees are all inclusive, there are no extra costs at all as all meals, drinks etc are included, I even supply nappies, wipes, baby milk and pureed food at no extra cost in addition to sterilised baby bottles and cups. All you need bring is your child.

Very professional and reliable as well as genuiniely caring for the children I look after .

Hours available are 6.30am - 6.00pm or before and after school sessions of 6.30-9.00am, and 3.00-6.00pm.

Odd days or full weeks are fine, if places are available.

I can offer 15 hours free childcare for 2, 3 and 4 year olds so please ask me for details.

I have experience of working with children who have special needs, and offer a totally inclusive practice welcoming children of all nationalities, and languages. Special diets can be catered for.

I have an NVQ 4 in Early Years and Childcare through the Open University..

Other qualifications include Childminding Practice, First Aid, Food Safety, Health and Nutrition, Safeguarding children, Supporting children for whom english is an additional language.

I also have a good standard of general education with A levels, etc.

I am part of the Quality Matters childminding network and am fully accredited.


I rarely have vacancies as most places are filled by word of mouth but I am happy to take bookings for the future or please give me a ring and I will see if I can help you depending on days/hours required.

My fees depend on hours and days needed, and can be charged as a hourly, daily or weekly rate, depending on what works out cheapest for you.

Fees include all food, drinks, activities, nappies etc.

No fees due during school holidays.

I am registered to accept employers nursery vouchers or you may qualify for financial help with childcare tax credits.
