GSCOP for suppliers

In 2015, research by the Grocery Code Adjudicator showed that well over 40% of direct suppliers to the 'designated retailers' did not have a written supply agreement, despite this being a key part of the GSCOP code regulations drawn up in 2001. The original enquiry into the Grocery Market deemed this as a vital part of the agreement between supplier and retailer because so many agreements are verbal, across a number of meetings and phone calls, where there's no true clarity on what has been agreed.
