The British Grinnall R3T trike is built around the fabulous Triumph Rocket 3, 2300cc motorcycle. The large capacity three cylinder motor produces a massive 147lbs/ft at 2500rpm and nearly 150 horse power making it the biggest capacity production motorcycle in the world. Featuring maintenance free shaft drive and compliant independent double wishbone rear suspension, the R3T is the most comfortable and best performing three wheeled cruiser available.

Styled by Steve Everitt (who also conceived, designed and built the Hennessey Venom), the striking looking body hides a chassis fabricated in 1-inch diameter 12 gauge steel tube. This bolt-on frame is powder coated and ready for 25 hours assembly to turn your Rocket motorcycle into a super-trike. A new set of CNC billet triple tree (yokes) reset the trail ensuring smooth and safe cornering without shoulder wrenching effort from the rider.

The specification also includes rear disc brakes with billet calipers featuring mechanical parking brakes, Goodridge braided hoses, and independent double wishbone rear suspension with in-board dampers and sway-bar (anti-roll-bar).

There is also an optional reverse.

Optional 3-piece, billet rear wheels match perfectly the standard front wheel, and come in 7 x 17in (225 x 17 tire) or wider 9 x 17in (265 a 17 tire). NB: The 3-piece wheels are offered as an upgrade to one piece forged wheels.

For pillion comfort a second standard front seat is fitted and can be used in conjunction with a simple pad type backrest, or a Harley style wrap around back rest for long haul touring. The system also features optional adjustable chrome arm rests. For the rider optional Triumph foot boards can be fitted and an adjustable rider back rest.

An optional luggage rack provides a platform for either a GIVI 55 litre case, or a Harley style top box. An optional low luggage platform can be used for an additional bag such as a waterproof Ortlieb (up to 70 litres) or GIVI case. There is a further 26 litres of storage within the body-work in the standard drop down tail box.

The R3T uses a stainless steel exhaust system hidden inside the body-work, which features a slash-cut chrome tail pipe exiting the centre of the tail.

The whole conversion is manufactured in Great Britain. The semi knocked down kit is designed to suit the American market, and is delivered in a wooden box, door to door. It comes with all parts included and takes just 25 hours to assemble. There are no special tool requirements, and it's a fully bolt on kit, therefore fully reversible. All body panels are painted in two-pack paint in your standard bike colour, or custom painted if desired. The chassis and fabricated parts are powder coated in satin black polyester. The new CNC aluminium billet triple tree (yokes) and rear uprights are black anodized, and fully rose jointed for adjustment.

Before his sad and untimely demise, UK's leading bike journalist, Kevin Ash, reported in the Daily Telegraph: 'It's a serious vehicle that's good fun, whatever you ride, the R3T offers very high performance, is surprisingly practical and beautifully made.' He concludes: 'It is done with such engineering finesse and quality of finish; it has the feel you imagine Triumph itself would have lent it.'
