Gresford Athletic FC

Gresford Athletic is a long standing village club who due to forward thinking individuals were promoted to the Cymru Alliance 18 months ago and finished 3rd in a very competitive league.
Recent legislation from the Welsh FA means that the club now has to provide a stand at the ground to seat 250 spectators and as you can imagine this is not a cheap exercise especially for a club that runs on sponsorship and good will.
My Dad was associated with the club for his entire adult life and having been there watching it all go on as a kid I know just how much the army of volunteers put in every week just to pay the bills.
So we intend to put on a golf day here in the south to get funds going but also to take on a physical challenge that we may even have to do some training for!
The challenge will revolve around the mighty Snowdon in North Wales and will see us attempt to go up and down the mountain three times in a day using six of its famous paths. Details to follow but firstly let's look at dates.
The challenge will take place on Tuesday 25th July and our eight intrepid adventurers have been putting in the miles in preparation for this mammoth task.
But we now need the inspiration from you all and I would ask you to please donate to this most worthy cause and something which means so much to me personally but also to an entire Community.

The Snowden Challenge
We will start at the Famous Pen Y Pass and will take these routes.
Route 1: UP THE PYG TRACK (4 MILES)
Route 2: DOWN THE WATKIN (4 MILES)
Route 3: UP THE MINERS (4 MILES)
Route 4: DOWN THE SNOWDON RANGER (4 MILES)
Route 5: UP THE SOUTH RIDGE (4 MILES)
Route 6: DOWN THE LLANBERIS PATH (4.5 MILES) THERE IS A PUB AT THE BOTTOM!
So, around 24 miles of walking in the day.
