Great Fen Day Nursery

Great Fen Day Nursery is situated on the outskirts of Boston which lends itself to being very convenient for dropping off and picking up children without the need to enter the busy town centre. We have an extensive outdoor area with various different areas for the children to explore including an allotment area where the children are supported in growing their own vegetables which are used to create fresh, wholesome meals by our nursery cook. At Great Fen Day Nursery we use the outdoor environment as much as possible to give the children hands on experiences with a range of real home from home resources and activities. Inside, we have a specific area for under two’s which is a cosy and natural environment with soft furnishings and sofas to help with the important transition from the family home to nursery. For our over 2’s, the children have a large area with a range of resources to support and extend their learning and development and we have cosy areas for that all important quiet time. The nursery also has a separate library area which is used for small group time with the children’s key person and a sensory room.
Our nursery staff are all DBS checked and trained in the age group that they are working. All children receive a key person who will create a special bond with their key children and be responsible for their care. At Great Fen Day Nursery, we recognise that children have their own interests so activities are carefully planned around them to engage the children and build on their strengths.
In half terms we provide a holiday club for primary aged children. Fun and exciting daily activities are planned throughout the holidays including arts and crafts sessions and sports clubs.
Great Fen Day Nursery provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children from 6 weeks old right up until they leave primary school.
