Gordon Fox Dance Academy

Over the past 25 years Gordon has mastered many styles of dance, as well as competing to championship standard, both nationally and internationally.

Rock’n’Roll (50’s Style and Acrobatic Style) Championship Titles include, City of Glasgow Championship, Scottish, British & UK Championships.

Boogie Woogie (40’s Style Swing Dance) Gordon has won all UK Championships, as well as Dutch International Championship, and being ranked 7th in the World Championship.

Latin American (Over many years he competed in Ballroom and Latin under Helen Rollins) in medalist competitions.

Salsa (Club Dance, includes Merengue, Bachata, Lambada, Zouk etc..)

Disco Freestyle (Including Slow Dance)

Gordon is fully qualified in many styles under the United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dance, Drama & Excercise.

Teaching History

Over the years Gordon has taught Rock’n’Rol (Jive) l, Freestyle, Latin American, Ballroom, Salsa & Hip Hop.

He has taught classes throughout the country for many years in all styles of dance.
Gordon has also taught for Glasgow City Council, David Lloyd Club, Healthland, and Fitness First.

He also has hands on experience with teaching people with disabilities and special needs.

Gordon assisted coaching and competed with a team whom had won the Scottish Wheelchair Dance Championships.

Gordon's style of teaching is very relaxed, yet a fun teaching style, which comes across in his classes.

He has also trained dancers to become teachers, in which he has guided them through their professional exams.

In 2004 the UKA asked Gordon to lecture at their annual conference in Blackpool, which for any teacher is a great honour! He also demonstrated at the evening dance in Salsa.

Gordon is also a qualified adjudicator, judging local and national championships including the British Salsa Championships.

Gordon has full civil liability insurance.

Gordon Fox holds a current Enhanced Disclosure Scotland Certificate.

Over the years Gordon has supported many charities, through workshops, demonstrating, and holding fundraising events.

This year Gordon is taking part in “Just Dance For Maggies 2013”.

He will be teaching Radio Clyde DJ Gina McKie 'Salsa', which will culminate in them competing against 7 other professionals and celebrities in November at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow, and hopefully raising a lot of money for this amazing Cancer Charity.
