SO WE’RE IN WESTBOURNE, BUT OFF THE MAIN DRAG, AWAY FROM THE CHAINS. THE PORTERHOUSE IS JUST ACROSS THE ROAD!

We started out to create an environment that we would love to eat in. A menu that we would eat. Music we’d like to hear. Service we’d expect. That was pretty easy.

THEN WE WENT THE EXTRA YARD…

We’d already decided that every single thing that we sold would be home-made, from scratch. We found the very best suppliers, then we made them exceed their standards.

The kitchen didn’t work for us. We re-worked it. We didn’t like plastered walls. We took a hammer to them and exposed brickwork. We discovered a bricked-up fireplace. Knocked it out. It’s lovely! We needed more booths. Lukasz, always inventive, built them.

Our investors (parents) shook their heads in disbelief. We told them it would be okay. They believed us.

Now we have somewhere that we’re proud to work in and that suits our style. We can accommodate lone gourmets, couples or parties of most sizes (though we are still a pretty small place!)

When you come and see us, remember that the same super-skilled hands that make your food and bring it to your table, also made the seat you are sitting on, the deck outside the back of our place, most of the fittings and pretty much everything else you can see!!

Now we have completely lost the plot and introduced our own, in-house, smoker. So, our pulled-pork is smoked for 15 hours over hickory chips before it ever reaches your burger. Our chicken wings are smoked over cherry wood before being marinated in our home-made sauce and served up to you. Beware, however, the legend that is the Wings Heat Challenge. Customers are beating a path to our door to take on our chefs’ hot wings. Before thinking that if you like hot wings, this will be easy, bear in mind that the hottest sauce is applied with a pipette! The chilli-cheese fries we serve you will be, we promise, unlike any you have either tasted before or imagined.

This is our house. We built it to be the way we would want to eat out. We love running it and we’ve only just begun. Come and see us, we’ll make you welcome
