Gee Gee's Stables

This is a great outdoor experience for all of the family to enjoy! There are many things to do down at the stables which give you some experience in caring and handling your horses properly, these include:
♘Mucking out the stables.
♘Tacking up.
♘Catching and leading your horse.
♘Grooming and feeding your horse.
♘Riding your horse, and many many more.

With Gee Gee's Stables there are 2 types of days you can book; Own a pony day or Own a pony hacking day.

Own a pony day includes:
♘Catching and leading your chosen horse around the stables and surrounding fields.
♘Mucking out the stables
♘Grooming and feeding your horse
♘Tacking up
♘Cleaning the tack
♘Riding your horse
The dates available for this are every Tuesday and Thursday from Tuesday 2nd August 2016 right through the six weeks holidays to Thursday 1st September 2016.

Own a pony hacking days consist of all of the above & you get to ride your horse on a hack to Darley Abbey! The dates available for these days are every Wednesday starting from Wednesday 3rd August 2016 to Wednesday 31st August 2016.

Both days start at 10am and finish at 3pm and cost £50, for the 'Own a Pony Day' the minimum age is 7 and for the 'Own a Pony Hacking Day' it is 9.
As well as these days we also offer riding lessons, £20 for an hour and £12.50 for half an hour, please enquire for availability.
Please bring your child a riding hat and a body protector, also make sure that you have checked the weather and dressed appropriately. (Don't forget the suncream!!!)
