G.D Ewen Butchers

G.D Ewen is a traditional, independent Butchers who have been providing the local residents of Whitley Bay and it's surround areas with quality, locally sourced and fully traceable fresh meat and selected dairy produce since 1936.

Founded by Mr Ewen, the business has remained within the Ewen family and it's close network of trusted employees since the company's inception in 1936.

Mr Ewen's Son, John Ewen, owned and run the business until 2012, when Colin Yarde, a long serving employee took over the business following John's retirement.

Colin has been at the helm of G.D Ewen since 2012, and continues to deliver the exception care and quality that our customers have come to expect and love.

Assisting Colin in our Whitley Bay premises is George Bell, who has also been a staple of the G.D Ewen Butchers for a number of years.
