Gazegill Education Project

We are a small dedicated team who run the Education Project at Gazegill Organics Farm, Rimington. We work with small groups of students and young adults, who find it difficult to fit into the educational system and are not achieving their potential academically, we are also SEN friendly.

We feel that the environment we provide helps the children and young adults build up their self- esteem and confidence, team building skills, communication and life skills.
Current research is showing that many teenagers are leaving school unhappy and are becoming less confident about succeeding in life by the time they leave school (BBC News).

By providing a happy, supportive environment and offering educational activities such as: animal care, farming projects, nature projects, arts and crafts, life skills and healthy lifestyle, dance and fitness, we believe that in conjunction with the school we can tailor lessons, so that the children and young adults develop important life skills, which will support their academic attainment and give them the qualities that employers value.
