A journey into gardening, scent and well being - a 6 week course over a complete growing season.
This is a practical, hands on extended course held fortnightly (excluding school holidays) at the home of A.S APOTHECARY, on an 80 acre organic farm in Plumpton just outside Lewes. A creative grounding knowledge of gardening skills from seed to harvest with scent as the guide.
Gardening skills include:
seeding, potting on, bed preparation, direct sowing, planting out, propagating from cuttings, pruning, plant supports, feeding and harvest.
Adventures in scent includes:
exploring scent, using perfume theory for planting, making flower waters and salves, designing for scent.
This is a joint collaboration between Catherine Cridland of Inviting Spaces and Amanda Saurin of A.S APOTHECARY. Catherine Cridland is an experienced garden designer and innovative creator of beautiful outdoor spaces in which to live well. Amanda Saurin is the founder and chief alchemist at A.S APOTHECARY, she is an experienced Plantswoman, Homeopath and Herbalist. Catherine and Amanda will be joyfully facilitating the course, sharing their skills, knowledge and cake.
