The Group represents the residents and community of the village of Helmshore in the Borough of Rossendale, Lancashire.
Snig Hole Park (officially called Helmshore Memorial Park) consists of an area of formal grounds with mature trees, bushes and shrubs and a feature Clock tower which carries the War Memorial plaque for the village.
This area of the park has had some work done in earlier years and is a pleasant area to walk.
The other section of the Park consists of a children's play area and football pitch and it is this area which is the primary focus of our attention.
