Hi and welcome to Fleur’s Pad………I’m Fleur!
Fleur’s Pad began life as an idea/pipe-dream at home. Presently the team at Fleur’s pad consists of just me. I’m an ex-Project Manager who studied Fashion Design and Marketing at East London University. On completing my degree I spent 12 years in a stuffy non-creative technical delivery focused office environment, with many of those years spent longing to return to my creative roots. Which creative route to pursue was always the unanswered question though, having been away for so long?
Inspiration hit me when my partner and I purchased a tatty, but still gorgeous, Victorian property in the Midlands. Having lived down south for years in one/two bed flats having to furnish what was to us a massive property was a daunting task. Cue my creative juices…………..and the idea for Fleur's pad!
In order to make my property a home I spent hours scouring old junk and antique shops, and made my way through copious amounts of paint – the outcome was a fully furnished, newly painted and styled home. This personal journey to bring life back to my tired Victorian property saw my inner creative hippy return. So I quit work, and out went the work attire and in came paint splattered overalls.
I now spend my days searching high and low for interesting old & new pieces of furniture in need of repair, love and restoration to create one off vibrant pieces to liven up even the most uninspired living spaces.
Fleur’s Pad promises to provide a quirky range of canvases and furniture, with old furniture given a modern twist with bold eye-catching colours.
If there are pieces within the range that take your fancy, however the colours doesn’t suit your living space please contact me and I am happy to source similar pieces, where possible, to the pallet that suits your needs.
