Since 2010 FVP have been giving young people hundreds of opportunists to gig, learn, grow and succeed with guidance, care and encouragement.
We began the "Indoor Busking" (TM) at gigs so that young people were earning money for playing the gigs with us....it also helped us help many of them into outside (or...traditional!) busking so that they were working, earning musicians. I am particularly proud of that part of FVP and as we are close to entering our 5th year (WOAH!) we will continue to work with young musicians offering them real opportunities and helping them figure out what their next steps should/could be in their music careers.
So many acts who have enjoyed many gigs with us have gone on to do amazing things...record their own music and sell it online, some have gone down the x factor route and learned a lot in the process, others have become buskers and we have helped a lot of them move into over 18's gigs giving them advice and support, helping them find paid work etc, others have gone on to university and even started their own events management companies!
Our support does not end with your set @ the gig, we continue to be there for our acts for as long as they want us to be smile emoticon
Our 5th year sees us running a stage at the Tee in the Port festival on Bute for the 2nd year running and also our first FVP festival called Feestival 01 smile emoticon we also continue to work with other projects to create massive chances for talented young musicians who are willing to work hard and learn! smile emoticon
