Far House

Far House is a recently renovated and fabulously designed house with many character features sitting quietly on the edge of the Peak District National park, 3/4 mile out of the tiny Hamlet of Upper Hulme surrounded by breath-taking views.

It sits almost directly beneath the infamous 'Roaches' , a spectacular wind carved outcrop of granite rocks, comprising of Ramshaw Rocks and Hen Cloud, both of which are extremely popular with hikers and climbers alike.

Only a stones throw away you'll find Tittesworth Reservior, which offers a wide range of activities for outdoor enthusiasts, whether you want a steady stroll around the waters edge, make use of the dedicated BBQ areas or keep the children happy with a new play area or taking in a spot of food and drink in the café overlooking the water or something a little more challenging it has it all.

This is a peaceful setting with fabulous walks, challenging climbs or relaxing strolls, only a few miles from the moorland market town of Leek. The village pub only a mile away serves traditional ales and home cooked food. Next door are the Roaches Tea Rooms in which to sample some homemade delights.

The spa town of Buxton, famous for its warm springs , offers a host of fine eateries, good shops and gardens including a fascinating museum and art gallery. Visit Buxton Opera house which is the venue for varied and often hosting big name productions.

If cycling is your thing the there are countless routes out into the flatlands of Cheshire, local routes around the Moorlands or head out in to the stunning Peak District National Park for more challenging terrain or follow the beautiful high peak trail all right on the doorstep.
