projects to reduce our impact on the environment
Our focus towards a greener future has provided
numerous ideas and cost savings to the benefit of our staff
and customers.
Our factory has one of the highest levels of Thermal
insulation as you would expect from a modern industrial unit.
By simply changing shift patterns many of our staff have
cut their fuel costs and journeys to work by 40%.
We plan ahead our purchases of raw materials to cut
suppliers transport costs by shipping paper direct from the
paper mill in maximum lorry loads. This alone has reduced
truck journeys by over 90%.
The use of vegetable-based inks has further reduced our
impact on the environment.
Recycling. Every sundry product we use in the process of
printing is supplied in some form of packaging from
cardboard, wooden pallets, plastic containers and wrappers.
Each waste product is separated and sent away to be
recycled. This represents 93% of our waste.
Waste. We work hard to reduce the generation of waste.
This is far more important and cost effective than recycling.
Power consumption. We have reduced the amount of
power per printed sheet by 17%. This has been achieved by
the efficiency of perfecting and the modern engineering.
Our deliveries are planned to reduce waste and
enhance efficiency.
All our vans have a low CO2 emission allowing them into
London without a premium.
