More about Evolution Childcare The Willows

‘I enjoy my job. I feel I am part of a team; that I am making a difference and helping children move through the foundation steps to education’
— Sue, Nursery Manager

The Warrington branch of Evolution Childcare provides children with safe and vibrant environments in which they can learn and play. Multi-coloured and sensory surroundings filled with stimulating, age-appropriate activities, have all been tailored to suit the needs of developing minds and bodies, and aid them in their initial stages of education and advancement. Our dedicated and highly trained team is led by Sue—a manager with thirteen years’ experience with Evolution Childcare—and a team who thoroughly enjoy, and are very good at, what we do, continually providing childcare of outstanding quality. We have a low staff turnover, and all our management team have a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education. As a team we are achieved investors in people, and have recently won our second Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ since 2009.

Children in our care are grouped by age into separate rooms where their specific needs can be fully catered to, with the day’s schedule organised around the necessities of that age group. The baby room offers each child their own key member of staff, who will keep parents informed daily with a written record of their child’s accomplishments. Activities are focused on creative and sensory play such as learning and development through ‘messy’ activities utilising mashed potato, jelly, flour and paint.

We have a variety of equipment available for Toddlers as they learn to crawl and walk, as well as a range of activities based around the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children will have both indoor and outdoor play time, the chance to indulge in creative and imaginary play, as well as areas for play with water and sand, and activities to help them learn to communicate and socialise with each other. They are encouraged in independent activities such as feeding themselves and washing their hands before and after meals.

Our Early Learners room focusses on building your child’s confidence, by involving them in group activities such as story, singing and circle times. Such group games and activities help kids learn to develop relationships with their peers and carers. The independence fostered in our Toddler room is continued, by encouraging children to brush their teeth after meals, wash their own hands and faces and engage in potty training.

Preschool children are again encouraged in their independence, as they are offered choices in regards to the activities in which they partake. Our Reception room is laid out so kids have easy access to equipment at their particular stage of development, while the areas themselves are in keeping with the Early Years Foundation Stage. Physical education, language and music lessons are introduced, with extensive outdoor activities in the garden, and visits to the local library, museum, shops and other charms in the community.
