We offer the level 3 City and Guilds 7601 Diploma in Media Techniques course, free, for disabled and disadvantaged adults. This can be anyone that has been excluded by society or has experienced negative and prejudiced attitudes, purposely or inadvertently, or is a victim of systemic barriers. Passing this course will increase employability, enable them to go onto higher education or to start their own business. No matter what their background everyone is given the same opportunity to realise their full potential. No-one should be made to feel that they are not as good as someone else just because of their differences.

Statistically self esteem is low in disabled and disadvantaged people and employment rates are even lower. Our course builds self esteem, improved numeracy and literacy skills, better coping strategies, IT Skills, better team building, improved attitutinal skills, better organisational skills and we promote life long learning. All of the students will gain a recognised qualification. The success of our past students, in going on to gaining degrees and securing employment, is a good testament to our dedicated methods of delivering learning in a fun and friendly environment and shows that there is a need for courses such as ours. In the past we have had the highest results for the C&G course within the UK. Each of our students have a dedicated volunteer peer mentor and we are constantly assessing the students using the Rosenberg self esteem scale, self assessments and tutor and mentor assessments to gauge their confidence and, of course, there is the gaining of the qualification itself.

You don't need to be disabled or disadvantaged to join our course, just to qualify for a free place.

We also offer a range of media services from filming and editing to script writing to media transfer (cine to DVD etc) and photo restoration.
