I'm Suze, the face behind Ellie Harvey Silver, A work at home mum of a small inquisitive little boy.

This business was born from my love of creating beautiful things, and my passion for jewellery.

I am a self taught Silver Crafter, although I have attended tutorial sessions to improve my knowledge of things such as rub over settings for stones, and I learn a lot by trial and error.

My previous work was in papercutting, you may remember me from Beautiful Piglet Designs, but I found that after losing my father to cancer in 2014 my heart just wasn't in it.
I decided to take up jewellery making as a way of dealing with the stress and sadness that losing my father had brought me.

Creating something that you can touch, feel and wear is an amazing feeling. knowing that you can draw a sketch and then turn that sketch into a piece of jewellery is fantastic.

I hope you love what I am creating as much as I do. I never knew that you could create so much from twisting and bending wire into shape. (never have my fingers been so sore!)

Items are sent by UK Royal Mail, by standard 1st Class or First Class Signed for depending on the value of the contents and can be sent recorded for an extra charge. If you would like to get your item super quick then please message me for delivery options.
We are not responsible for any customs or tax charges your shipment is liable for if you ask us to ship internationally.
We only ship to your Paypal designated address unless you ask us in writing for an item to be shipped to a different address, please note that in this instance Paypal will not cover you for a lost item claim.

BESPOKE & PERSONALISED ITEMS: Refunds are only applicable to items which display faulty workmanship, damage in transit, or a wrong item.
Where there is damage, there needs to be photographic evidence, especially if damaged by mail company.
NON BESPOKE ITEMS: You have 14 days to change your mind about an item which is not bespoke and return it for a refund.You are responsible for the return postage and safe return of such items. No refund will be issued until the item is returned to us in the same condition as it left our premises.

Items lost in transit will be looked into as they occur.


FAQs

Do you make to order?
Yes we do! if there is an item in the shop that you love, but its not your size or colour then just pop me a little message and I will do my best to make something perfect for you!

Can you wrap my gift?
All our items come in a gift box, sometimes they are Pillow Boxes, sometimes Organza pouches, and sometimes standard Jewellery box packages. Everything is wrapped in tissue and tied with a ribbon or embellishment to add to the joy of receiving your package. If you want us to giftwrap and add a label for you then please just ask and we can do this for a small extra charge.

Why is postage expensive?
If we are posting precious metal jewellery to you, we want to try to ensure that it gets to you, in good time, and in one piece. Therefore we have to send by registered/recorded/tracked mail which costs more. We try to absorb some of this cost by capping our UK postage at £5.00 per single small parcel, £7.00 per single UK medium parcel, or £8.00 per larger single item UK. If we can send it cheaper but still safely, then we will - and we will also refund the difference in postage.

Why isnt my Silver item hallmarked?
Items of Silver in the UK which weigh under 7.78g are not required to be hallmarked, this means that we dont have to pass on the cost of hallmarking light items of Silver to our customers. If you wish to have the item you have ordered hallmarked under this weight then we are happy to do so for you but it will cost extra.

Are your gemstones real?
Yes, we dont use fake or look a like stones, the only stone we use that is lab grown is Cubic Zirconia. If you want to know more about a particular stone in an item, please just ask as I can tell you exactly what it is and where it came from.


For all non precious metal rings, please avoid immersion in water or contact with lotions and oils as these will shorten the life of the item, affect its looks, and could cause transfer of colour to your skin. This is the nature of materials which contain copper or brass..

Wire jewellery has been carefully finished to avoid sharp edges or places which could catch, however please check occasionally as constant wear can result in a loosening or movement in the wire.
Please inspect your jewellery once you receive it, especially if it has been shipped a long distance as unfortunately not all postal services take as much care of our product as we do, this can cause damage to wires, glass beads etc that would make the item unwearable. If you notice a loose end to a wire or a broken glass bead, please, please dont handle or wear the item, just photograph it and contact us straight away so we can refund or replace the item for you.

Sterling Silver can tarnish over time, but just needs a quick going over with a polishing cloth to bring back its beautiful looks.
All our Sterling Silver is genuine 925, but if it falls below 7.78g in weight, it does not require a hallmark. If you would like us to obtain a hallmark in this instance, we are happy to do so for a charge.

Stone set Jewellery, I source the best possible gemstones in the UK for my stone set items, and I only use genuine stones. These items should be treated with care, as whilst most gemstones are very hard, there are a few which are less so (these are noted on the listings)
You should not wear any stone set jewellery in water, and you should minimise contact with lotions or creams as they will leave residue and dull the stone.
