Pre-sessional English courses:
Our Pre-Sessional courses are designed for students who would
like to join degree programmes at Edinburgh Napier University. Whether you need to increase your English Language scores for entry, or you have reached the required English level but would like to learn more about studying in a UK university before starting your degree, we have a course suitable for you.
Our courses provide an introduction to academic culture in the UK, focus on key language points, consider different types of academic assessment, and familiarise our new students with the University. We also visit some local tourist attractions and discuss local culture in the past and present. Students are assisted with finding accommodation, setting up bank accounts, and the other practicalities for living in Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh.
Summer/Winter School Courses:
Our summer/winter school courses are flexible, which allows us to build custom packages that suit the needs and interests of different groups of visitors. So whether you are looking for an intensive English Language module, or you just want a
chance to learn about the culture of Scotland, we are able to provide a course that suits your needs. In the past, we have successfully organised summer/winter school programmes for students from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Russia,
and China. Our highly-qualified and friendly teaching team will help you to make the most of your time at Edinburgh Napier University, ensuring you have an experience you will always remember. The following provides some examples of modules we have previously offered to our students. If you have different interests, we are very happy to develop other flexible programmes to suit the particular needs of your group.

We hope that your experience with us will provide you with insights and inspiration that you will find useful whatever you choose to do in the future.
