Edinburgh 24

Edinburgh 24, brought to you by Breaking Strain Events, is a 24-hour loop race situated in the Royal Holyrood Park in the heart of the Scottish capital. The route spirals on the road below the rocky summit of Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh’s ancient volcano. Each loop is just over 5K (or 3 miles). As you run through the oasis of parkland in the city centre you will catch spectacular glimpses of Edinburgh castle, the Royal Mile and Old Town, as well as the distant Pentland Hills and Firth of Forth at different points throughout the day.

The route entails mostly road terrain and has a varied elevation profile which will guarantee to keep you on your toes for the duration of the race. The nine categories provide a challenge suitable for all abilities. Choose to enter as an individual, pair or team and endure the full 24-hour race or introduce yourself with a steadier 12-hour or 6-hour version. As you catch your breath or tap in a team mate, chill out in the vibrant event village, where refreshments and entertainment will be ready for your enjoyment.
