I don't personally know of any other individual that takes quite as many photographs of Eilean Donan as I do. Living practically in her shadow certainly helps, and gives me more opportunity than most to capture her many faces.

With the ever-changing light that we experience in the highlands, she always presents a stream of wonderful photographic opportunities. Through the differing moods of the seasons, the vagries of the Scottish weather, the movement from day to night, or the rise and fall of the tides; her constant presence in my life has no doubt fuelled my obsession to catch that elusive perfect image.

Following the success of the castle's Facebook page, and the often humbling reaction to some of my work, many viewers have encouraged me to offer prints and photos for sale. So here I am, dipping my toe nervously into a new venture. I only hope I do her beauty justice.............
