DOVECOTE ART STUDIO

Creative Art Courses are now taking place at the Art Studio of Kay Marie in the small village of Abberton, Essex. Nestled amongst a row of historic houses situated on the Layer Road, you will find a New England style property that has been developed to help promote creative projects in the community. Although this is a private facility, at certain times of the year this house will be open to the public to showcase local artists work and also work from up and coming artists around the country.

Working with professional tutors, Kay is developing bespoke courses in a variety of different creative art subjects that will cater for up to six people at a time from the Dovecote Art Studio.

Dovecote Art StudioThe classes held in the garden room, situated to the rear of the property, present a wonderful view of the dappled courtyard garden. The planting scheme of textured heights and layers with winding wooden paths add both movement and mystery to this pretty New England oasis. A small pond tucked away with the trickling waterfall resonates relaxation around the garden, while the changing colours and textures of the seasons provide the perfect backdrop to inspire any budding artist. The environment created here lends itself to a feeling of peace and tranquility and through tutoring, Kay hopes to develop closer ties with the community to promote wellbeing.
